The town of Corralejo hosted the first edition of the Fuerteventura Triathlon. A test in which many triathletes from the island of Lanzarote met and demonstrated their supremacy in this type of event. Omar Delgado from Lanzarote, from the Tridente Tinajo club, was the winner of the men's event and Isidora Sosa took the victory in the women's category.

The I Fuerteventura Triathlon was a sprint category, with distances of 750 meters in swimming, 20 kilometers in cycling and 5 kilometers of running. Organized by Club Pujamen, it was attended by about 100 triathletes

Omar Delgado from Conejero, from the Tridente Tinajo Club, was the great protagonist of the I Fuerteventura Triathlon, carrying out a test from less to more. Omar Delgado came out fourth in the swimming sector, made the sixth best partial in cycling and in the running segment he flew over the asphalt of the main road of Corralejo, completing the 5 kilometers in 15:45. Omar Delgado crossed the finish line in first place with a time of 58 minutes and 40 seconds.

The second position was for Joel González from Gran Canaria with a time of 59:45, also taking first place in the sub'23 category. The podium was completed by Orlando Delgado from the Tenerife club Medusa with a time of 59:54. The top three finishers spent less than an hour on the demanding course.

In the women's category, Isora Sosa was the winner with a time of 1 hour, 9 minutes and 15 seconds. Almudena Rodríguez (Tricán) finished just over a minute behind and Inmaculada Chacón (Calima Fuerteventura) would be third, with a time of 01:16:18.

In the team classification, Tridente Tinajo obtained second place behind Tricán and ahead of Calima Fuerteventura.
