Marco Machín, former goalkeeper of UD Lanzarote: I have a feeling of anger about the way I left the club

Marco Machín's departure as a player of UD Lanzarote has not left anyone indifferent, and the player himself does not understand what has happened to him in recent weeks. In statements to the "Polideportivo" program of Radio Lanzarote, Marco Machín assures that in recent weeks he has been given "pushes" to leave the discipline of UD Lanzarote. The former rojillo goalkeeper criticizes the treatment he has received from the coach and the way in which he has been discharged, having to forgive part of the money owed to him by the club.

In this Wednesday's program of "Polideportivo" of Radio Lanzarote (90.7 FM), Marco Machín has explained the reasons that have led him to leave the discipline of UD Lanzarote. Machín explained that he had a "feeling of anger at the way I left the club" and added that "it is not normal that you come being the reference in the goal and after the Mensajero match the coach opts for my substitution". A decision that the former rojillo goalkeeper understands and respects, although he does not understand "the treatment towards me from the coach during that week".

The former goalkeeper of UD Lanzarote explained on the microphones of the program directed and presented by Domingo Travieso, that after the Mensajero match the training sessions are planned for all the players for the week of vacation. "I was not given any planning", argued Marco Machín and assured that "that week, while my teammates trained in voluntary sessions or with the planning given, I had to dedicate myself to running".

The club announced the departure of Marco Machín assuring that the player was leaving for personal and work reasons. "Don't be hypocritical, be sincere and tell the truth", said the former rojillo player during the interview. "Now it seems that I am leaving for personal and work reasons, and that is untrue", explained the goalkeeper.

Marco Machín also criticized the way in which he has been discharged, arguing that he has had to negotiate with the club and "give up money that I have earned". The discharge was signed on Wednesday morning and the player was scheduled to travel to La Palma during the afternoon.

In total, Marco Machín has played 17 matches with the UD Lanzarote shirt and the former goalkeeper makes a "positive assessment" of his matches. "My performance away from home has been better than in the matches in the Ciudad Deportiva", explained Marco Machín, who added that "in some matches as a local I was not up to the task and away from home I felt more comfortable playing".

Marco Machín returns to La Palma, does not rule out being able to defend another goal until the end of this season and assures that so far he has no offers. "All the teams are planned for the second part of the season", explained Marco Machín and admitted that he will train "with a team from the Third Division or Regional Preferente".
