Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" visited the GDKO Ibaizabal court in less than 24 hours, after being defeated by Barakaldo, but they did so with great enthusiasm to try to turn the situation around and demonstrate that if victory had not fallen on their side, it was only due to small differences with their rivals.
The first quarter was not good. The team came out physically burdened by the effort made the previous day against a rival that forced them to work hard and against whom they were left without a prize. In this match, the sensations were different, even though the first quarter was inferior to their rival.
The defense gradually put on its work clothes, again led by Romina Rodríguez, who encouraged her teammates until they managed to play head-to-head with their rival. If in the first quarter the match was favorable to the Basque team, the local team was not able to continue with that dynamic, finding a solid defensive rival that left the possibilities of overflow without ideas.
The second and third quarters were of power to power, where the work done would take its toll in the last quarter on whoever was not able to withstand the intensity of the clash. And that's where Magec Tías "Against Gender Violence" made a difference, achieving up to 11 consecutive points in the last partial, which would serve to differentiate them from their rival.
Julen Berrocal's team, overwhelmed by the offensive talent of Carolina, Iranzu or Imani, accompanied by the Bolivian international, could not sustain the advantage. Magec Tías, who could not count on players such as Rosario de León or Magali Vilches, who were not registered on the first day, the date to which the match corresponded, showed solidity, integrity and uniformity in the game, to the point of achieving the first victory of the season.
The scoreboard reflected a 51 to 56 at the end of the match and served to ward off the ghosts now that Halloween was approaching. With this victory, Jesús García's players leave the relegation places and now rest at home, where they hope to confirm what they have achieved against Baloncesto Femenino León.
