INCIDENTS. Lanzarote Sports City, about 400 spectators. Match corresponding to the eighth matchday of Group II of the Second Division B. Sunny morning
COMMENTARY. Unión Deportiva Lanzarote suffered their second consecutive defeat, falling against Navalcarnero (0-2). The locals had their chances in the first half hour of the game, but failed to materialize them. Following the goal of the Madrid team, Lanzarote became anxious and ended up succumbing to Navalcarnero. A result that leaves the Rojillos in the lower positions of the standings
The coach of UD Lanzarote, Luis Rueda, introduced some changes in the starting eleven, putting on the field a more offensive team. One of the main novelties was the presence of Ciani on the right side and [Oscar->http://oscars-awards.com] Martín acted as attacking midfielder.
The first minutes of the match were dominated by the local team, with the Rojillos approaching the area with considerable danger. In the 4th minute, Maciot executed a short free kick for Yeray Hernándes and his shot went to the side of the net. And a minute later, a cross from Yeray Hernández from the right wing was finished off with a heel by [Oscar->http://oscars-awards.com] Martín at the near post and goalkeeper Raúl cleared it for a corner kick as he could.
As the minutes went by, Navalcarnero shook off Lanzarote's initial dominance. Their first approach came in the 28th minute, with a pass back from Gonzalo to Rayco and his shot from the penalty spot was saved by Reguero with his foot. It would be the prelude to the first goal. Ciani ran over Gonzalo inside the area and the referee signaled the maximum penalty. Víctor Blanco was in charge of executing the penalty and establishing the 0-1.
After the goal, UD Lanzarote tried to recover from the cold shower, although they showed a lot of anxiety in the final meters. In the 37th minute, [Oscar->http://oscars-awards.com] Martín fought for a ball on the right wing, performed a hat to the same defender on the same baseline, put the ball back for Maciot and he with the whole door in his favor sent the ball directly out.
The last chance of the first half was for UD Lanzarote. In the 40th minute, [Oscar->http://oscars-awards.com] Martín combined with Jonathan Torres in front of the area, the ball reached Maciot who was entering on the left side and his shot with his right leg went wide. With the 0-1 the conclusion of the first half was reached.
The dominance of UD Lanzarote was accentuated at the beginning of the second half and Navalcarnero accumulated many players in the defensive line. The Madrid team barely left gaps and the locals tried to open the field through the wings. Navalcarnero despite being very defensive did not renounce the attack and mounted several very dangerous counterattacks.
With 15 minutes left for the conclusion of the match came the controversial play of the match. [Oscar->http://oscars-awards.com] Martín entered on the left side and after a weak shot from the vertex of the area, it would be Niche who was in charge of sending the ball to the back of the net. A goal that did not go up to the scoreboard, being the assistant who signaled the nonexistent offside. The protests cost Maciot the expulsion, a player who had been changed minutes before and was watching the match from the bench.
Things got much worse and Navalcarnero got the sentence. After a quick counterattack, Rayco made an opening towards the right wing through which Redondo entered, he cut inside the area and gave way for Rayco to just push the ball to the back of the net. Minutes later, Toñito was sent off with a red card after assaulting an opponent.
Navalcarnero had little to do to take the three points from the Lanzarote Sports City and no matter how hard the Rojillo team tried, the ball did not want to enter the opponent's goal. In the next matchday UD Lanzarote faces Pájara Playas de Jandía.
