A score of people traveling aboard a dinghy near Lanzarote have asked for help from the Spanish Emergency services after suffering an engine failure in the boat in which they travel.

It was the travelers themselves, who were on the vessel, who alerted the Emergency services around 11:00 AM this Tuesday. The passengers contacted the Maritime Rescue coordination center in Las Palmas and reported that they had been two days at sea

According to what Salvamento Marítimo has informed La Voz, the precarious gray boat departed from the coast of Tan-Tan, southwest of Morocco, and when they called the Spanish services, they were 20 kilometers from Lanzarote.

To the area, the Sasemar plane of Maritime Rescue has been deployed, which is trying to locate the vessel.
