The Lanzarote talent Hecher Sosa, known as the Guanche Warrior, is preparing to make the big leap to the highest category of mixed martial arts (MMA).

Next September 16, Sosa will play a decisive fight at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, with the opportunity to get a four-fight contract in the UFC.

The confrontation will take place through the Dana White's Contender Series, the platform that has catapulted many of the great names in world MMA.

Hecher Sosa will face the Brazilian Mackson Lee, in a fight that promises intensity, technique and spectacle.

"Hecher Sosa represents the talent and the Canarian claw. This fight is the opportunity to show the world that we can compete at the highest level and give a name to the Canary Islands in the UFC," said the fighter's team.
