They predicted from the club that the most difficult thing was yet to be done and so it was. CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote managed to recover in time a match that became very uphill, but managed to seal with a new victory to conclude the regular phase of División de Honor Oro in a spectacular way: Patro Barambio's team has won 13 of the last 14 points at stake. A streak of seven consecutive matches scoring in which they have only conceded a draw and that has earned them, with all merit, to enter the promotion phase to the highest national competition.

Against BM Salud Tenerife, the pressure passed to the rojinegras. Although the Tenerife team was not playing for anything, they showed that they wanted to finish the competition with a good taste in their mouths before their fans, so they did not make things easy for a CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote that had managed to depend on itself to fight for the promotion phase to Liga Guerreras Iberdrola.

First decaffeinated minutes in a match with numerous inaccuracies that served as a probing between the two teams and a first contact motivated by the great defensive work in the two areas. But it was the locals who were the first to step on the accelerator, looking for the counterattack to be the first to connect to the match and show that they were going for the two points.

Neither of the two teams was comfortable in attack, extending the possession to the passive because they were unable to find gaps.

In addition, Susi Sánchez appeared in goal to maintain the meager 1-1 draw when the first five minutes of the match had already been completed, which reflected the defensive toughness.

Just before reaching the tenth minute, the rojinegras had already managed to turn the score around (3-4), even managing to get two goals ahead afterwards, although there was still a lot left. The aggressiveness of the blanquiazul defense and the visitors' inaccuracies ended up tilting the match in favor of BM Salud Tenerife. Moral blow above all because CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote had wasted several clear chances, with good defenses and great ball recoveries to have been able to extend the advantage in their favor.

Touching the first quarter of an hour, the locals came back in the match by scoring the 6-5 to end up dominating the scoreboard. The batateras remained alive with a disadvantage of only two goals that increased in the last minutes of the first half. Just when the rojinegras missed the opportunity to tie the match at 11, the Tenerife team achieved a partial in favor in numerical superiority that made them go to the break with 15-11.

The second half arrived with new mistakes from the rojinegras that were well used by BM Salud Tenerife to increase their advantage, doing special damage on the wings and on the counterattack, ending up demoralizing the Lanzarote team.

The difference reached seven goals, five minutes after the restart, when the scoreboard showed a clear 19-12, with a CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote that arrived well to the assists, but did not seek contact as forcefully as the locals.

Ana Martín also appeared in goal to maintain the rojinegros interests, with a nice duel of great interventions under the sticks of her blanquiazul counterpart that annulled the options of reducing the score. And there were still many inaccuracies in attack on both sides, but with the difference that BM Salud Tenerife had built a cushion of goals that gave them more margin for error.

Luana Albán, Berenice Frelier and Brenda Roger reduced the distance of the scoreboard to two goals (20-18) when the fortieth minute was exceeded, forcing the local team to request a time-out. Then there was an exchange of blows that kept the score in favor of the locals, but by only one goal, a situation that remained when reaching the last quarter of an hour.

Brenda, Ingrid Roger and Gleinys Reyes were in charge of scoring and achieving a new partial in favor to sign the tie at 24 with less than ten minutes left in the match. CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote saw themselves capable, but the chicharreras fulfilled in each possession to maintain the advantage by the minimum.

Lucía Chacón put the tables back on the scoreboard so that afterwards the Cuban winger transformed a penalty and thus put the batateras ahead again (25-26), an advantage that would vanish quickly, with a BM Salud Tenerife that found the goal again from the wing so that the blanquiazules quickly put the 27-26.

It would not be until the twenty-eighth minute when a counterattack served to make the 28-29 definitively rojinegro the scoreboard again. An advantage that CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote would not lose, sentencing Ingrid Roger with the 28-30, which only gave time for BM Salud Tenerife to score once more and leave the definitive 29-30 that is worth a promotion phase in which CB Zonzamas CICAR Lanzarote will be.

The batatero team only has to continue working towards that new opportunity to be in the highest national competition of women's handball, a phase that will be held from May 25 to 28 with headquarters yet to be designated and that will face CB Zonzamas CICAR, CB Morvedre and Elda Prestigio, in addition to Costa de Almería Roquetas, classified this last one as champion of División de Honor Plata.
