Turismo de Canarias will promote the Archipelago as a destination for the training of professional, semi-professional athletes and teams during the broadcast of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which will be offered by Eurosport platforms exclusively in more than 50 countries.
The Canary Islands. One goal, one destination. All year-round campaign plans to achieve almost 59 million impacts and will feature Spanish cyclist Alberto Contador, seven-time winner of Grand Tours; Hungarian Katinka Hosszu, three-time Olympic swimming champion and world record holder; and British athlete Iwan Thomas, world champion with Team GB and Olympic medalist.
These elite athletes will share their experience, knowledge and analysis during Eurosport's coverage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Ministry of Tourism details in a statement.
Produced in French, English, German, Italian and Spanish, the Canary Islands. One goal, one destination. All year-round campaign will premiere in April 2024 on Eurosport's linear and digital platforms in more than 50 countries and will have an investment of 1.5 million euros financed with Next Generation EU funds.
This is a multi-channel action that will be broadcast throughout the digital ecosystem of the sports platform, as well as on its television channels.
As part of the campaign, Eurosport and Turismo de Canarias will produce a one-minute audiovisual piece, in addition to three 30-second pieces focused on the eight islands, each of them starring an icon and a sports discipline.
With this initiative, Turismo de Canarias plans to achieve almost 59 million impacts: 22 million with the ads that will be broadcast before the Olympic Games, 27 million with those that will be broadcast during its celebration and 9.75 million with the digital videos.
