The Titerroy Municipal Pavilion experienced a night of intense and exciting handball with the cup match between Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife and UBU San Pablo Burgos, one of the candidates to achieve promotion this season to the ASOBAL League.

The peninsular team was quick to show its strategy, playing most of the match with seven players in attack, which made it difficult for the Lanzarote team to get out from the start. This approach allowed the visiting team to take the lead on the scoreboard quickly, forcing Samuel Trives' team to play catch-up.

Although the differences on the scoreboard were never more than two goals, which maintained the excitement of a close match until the end, everything changed in the last minutes of the first half. It was then that UBU San Pablo Burgos managed to tip the balance in their favor, going into the break with a 10-13 score.

In the second half, a reaction from the home team was expected. However, the visiting team demonstrated its superiority with a strong defense and a lethal attack that left the Lanzarote team with no options. The advantage on the scoreboard gradually increased, leaving Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife without the capacity to respond. With their minds already on the next match in the División de Honor Plata against Trops Málaga, the home team saw the dream of the Copa del Rey vanish.

The match concluded with a score of 18-29, reflecting the clear superiority of UBU San Pablo Burgos and marking the end of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife's journey in this season's Copa del Rey. Despite the defeat, the local fans bid farewell to their players with warm applause.
