Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife played its last match of the season as a local team on Saturday afternoon, hosting a rival in the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion that is vying for direct promotion to the ASOBAL League. Despite withstanding the rival's onslaught for many minutes, UBU San Pablo Burgos imposed its law on the 40x20 court to end up winning by 21 to 29.

Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife stood up to UBU San Pablo Burgos in the first minutes, putting 3-0 on the scoreboard with goals from Javi Aragón (2) and Ángel Iglesias from the right wing. The reaction from Burgos was immediate, and they soon took the initiative by achieving a 0-5 partial.

Until the middle of the first half, equality was maintained on the playing field, with San Pablo Burgos gradually taking control of the game as the minutes passed. The attack of Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife was no longer as effective as in the first minutes, and many of the shots were repelled by an accurate Elcio Carvalho between the posts. The score at halftime was 11 to 17.

Two goals from Javier Rodríguez in the first minutes of the second half put the score at 11 to 19 on the scoreboard of the Titerroy Municipal Pavilion. Despite the attempts of the local team, they never threatened the advantage that the Burgos team had acquired, a lead that was around ten goals.

With the match decided, the attention of UBU San Pablo Burgos was focused on what was happening in the clash between Proin Balonmano Sevilla and ID Energy Caserío, a match that ended with the defeat of the Ciudad Real team, and which allows San Pablo Burgos to depend on themselves in the last matchday to achieve direct promotion.

With the result of 21 to 29, the match came to an end, with Balonmano Lanzarote Ciudad de Arrecife bidding farewell to the season in Titerroy with a defeat. The last match of the season for San José Obrero will be against Club Cisne Colegio Los Sauces, a match that is scheduled for the weekend of May 18.
