Solidarity and sport came together again this Saturday during the celebration of the 4th MSRUN Lanzarote, a race organized by the Lanzarote Association for Assistance with Multiple Sclerosis (ALanEM). Up to the Arrecife Theme Park, 400 participants of all ages came to support this event in person. One of the most emotional moments of this edition was marked by the presentation of a commemorative plaque to the relatives of Alexis Tejera before the start of the adult races.
The youngest were the first to start their races, for which the organization had prepared two routes; 200 meters and 1 kilometer. The surroundings of the Theme Park were the protagonists of these tests, applause and shouts of encouragement from the relatives gave the young athletes the necessary impetus to cross the finish line. All participants received, in addition to their finisher medal, a gift from Pampero Lanzarote. In the 200-meter race, the winner was Marc Sánchez and Alba Eusebio. For their part, Joel Izan Concepción and Elisabeth Rosa were the first to reach the finish line in the 1 km distance.
At 11:00 a.m., the starting gun was fired for the 8 km participants, with a route that took them along the maritime avenue to Playa Honda, with the turning point in front of the La Orilla Restaurant. In the most demanding modality of this event, Aladdin Bouhania and Cristina Molina were the ones who climbed to the top of the podium.
Finally, ten minutes after having started the 8 km, those who had accepted the challenge of running or walking the 4 km distance began their race. This route had the turning point near the La Concha urbanization. The victory went to Saúl Rodríguez and África Vidina Thadani.

After the arrival of the last participant, the awards ceremony began for the first classified in each category. To put the finishing touch to the event, Adrián García, on behalf of the organization, thanked the participants for having once again placed their trust in this event, and the public and private institutions for the support received for its celebration. The president of ALanEM, Monique Meine, ratified García's words and reported that the funds raised from this test will be used for the expansion of its facilities, which will serve to improve the services offered by this organization to users every day.
