In the last decade and with the full entry into what has been called the Information Society, consumers find ourselves immersed in a world full of services that either through the Internet or the telephone, the truth is that they end up overwhelming us, and it is at that precise moment, when certain companies appear on the market, who are friends of other people's property and easy business, intend to make juicy profits with us, the defenseless and often excessively unsuspecting and trusting consumers: And although there are many practices of this type that we could analyze, through this article I would like to analyze the so-called Premium Rate Numbers, or more popularly known, by those whose prefix begins with 803, 806 and 807 and through which in reality the telephone service provider company only takes a tiny part of the money, while the bulk, the great benefits, go to the companies that are behind these lines, and although the vast majority comply with current legislation, on the other hand there are a large number that do not respect the aforementioned legislation in the slightest and on the contrary what they intend is to get money from us easily and often using tactics that border on the criminal, trying to keep unsuspecting consumers on the phone for as long as possible, through alleged job offers, making us believe that we have won a prize and a long etcetera of tactics aimed at getting us to stay on the phone for as long as possible.

Therefore, it should be remembered that consumers must be cautious and remember that famous saying when the peseta still existed that "nobody gives hard currency for four pesetas", taking into account, in addition, that the most convenient thing is to restrict access to this type of telephone from our home, a matter to which operators are obliged by law, thus avoiding being able to make calls to this type of telephone that we remember that in some cases cost more than €1 per minute. And remember, if you have any problems, consult any consumer agency.
