Although its colors are similar to "Ryanair", to date I consider the shipping company "Fred. Olsen" to be a leading and serious company, for the service provided for so long between Playa Blanca and Corralejo. This is demonstrated every day with the good work that is offered, although in Lanzarote, despite the photo with island authorities last week, the new direct line Arrecife-Las Palmas, which was announced to take three and a half hours, has started off on the wrong foot.
These first few days, and despite the efforts of the team of professionals working on the boat, what happened can only be described as a failure and a deception. Passengers with direct tickets to Las Palmas from Arrecife were forced to go through Morro Jable, and vice versa, turning the illusion and comfort of the three and a half hour trip into one of more than five hours. In addition, they canceled some trips and changed the schedules of others. A disappointment.
Hopefully this situation will be corrected soon, or at least clarified, without giving rise to further misunderstandings or deceptions, and it will be clearly stated which lines are offered, with which boat and at what times. I suppose that "Fred. Olsen" does not intend to give this treatment to Lanzarote, and in the confidence that this is the case, I make it public so that whoever it may concern takes note, and with the desire that this direct line between Lanzarote and Gran Canaria will be the great advantage and opportunity that we all long for for our island, but without deceiving the people of Lanzarote.
