In some areas of the Canary Islands, to designate the action of 'putting things in a disorderly way, so that they obstruct passage', the form arretrancar is often used, derived from the first meaning of the Canarianism arretranco (1. m. Old and useless junk that hinders, 2. m. Despicable person, 3. m. Woman of dissolute habits). The word arretranco comes, in turn, from the also Canarian word retranca (composed of retro and anca), "Brake of carts"
