The Cabildo of La Palma has received until this Wednesday a total of 4,179,806.83 euros in donations from individuals, entities and private companies that have made a financial contribution through the channels enabled by the island institution.
These aids will go directly to the people affected by the volcanic eruption and will serve to cover "specific needs, once the basic needs have already been covered," the corporation said in a press release.
The amount collected is the result of the "wave of solidarity" that has come from all over the world to support the residents of the areas of influence of the volcano, so the Cabildo appreciates the "generosity" shown by the people, entities and companies that have made it possible that, in just 15 days, since the donation channels were enabled, more than four million euros have been exceeded.
In addition, the Cabildo reports that the data on the amount received will be updated periodically through the website volcan.lapalma.es.
To this amount, we must add the amounts received by the town councils of Los Llanos de Aridane, of more than 1.2 million, and El Paso.
The Cabildo points out that economic donations continue to be the "most effective" way to contribute to the recovery of the island and can be made through the 'Donation' tab of Bizum using code 03747.
Another option is to do it through the account ES47 2100 9169 0122 0017 9456 indicating in the subject 'Volcano Donation' and in the case of international donations the BIC / SWIFT Code: CAIXESBBXXX must be used, where they can record the aid registering the NIF or DNI, company name or name and surnames, the corporation points out.
