The Yaiza City Council has invested 25,000 euros in the purchase of sanitary material and elements destined for the aid services provided by the Yaiza Civil Protection group. The mayor, Gladys Acuña, and the councilor responsible for the area, Javier Camacho, presented the new technical resources to the volunteer coordinator, Juan Gabino Cáceres Umpiérrez, this Friday.
Among the elements acquired are defibrillators, motor pumps, power motor, turret for vehicles, briefcases with beacon lights, communication devices, flashlights, hoses and folding cones, among other tools.
Gladys Acuña confirms that the Yaiza Civil Protection group will share with the Consortium Firefighters the building in Uga ceded by the City Council where the future Auxiliary Fire Station of the South will operate, whose rehabilitation and adaptation works are assumed by the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
