The municipal government of Yaiza has completed the renovation works of the La Degollada picnic area, "a space with better features and services that favors family and friends gatherings in a welcoming environment located just one and a half kilometers from the Yaiza square", explains the mayor.
Gladys Acuña has encouraged the residents of Yaiza and visitors from all over the Island to "enjoy the new barbecues, benches, playground and canarian ball courts. She has also reported the installation of the new drip irrigation system, an action, this last one, that the Institution has executed in public gardens of the south of Lanzarote as an effective measure of water saving and care of the plant species".
Likewise, as highlighted by the councilor responsible for the Area, Jonatan Lemes, in the also known as La Degollada grove, new trees have been planted. In addition, they remind from the Consistory that they invite the use and enjoyment of the picnic area "ensuring the care of its facilities and keeping the place clean".
