Unelco-Endesa representatives will come to Lanzarote to hear firsthand the complaints of those affected by the power outages.

The parties involved in the Unelco-Endesa conflict will meet again next Monday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m., at the Island Corporation. This new meeting was decided during the meeting held yesterday in Las Palmas by the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Consumption of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Lourdes Bernal, together with the manager and the head of purification and reuse of Inalsa, with those responsible for the electricity company.

In this new meeting, the company Unelco-Endesa will have the opportunity to explain to the City Councils and business associations of the Island the causes of the worrying situation of the distribution of electrical energy in Lanzarote. The first vice president of the Corporation, Manuel Fajardo, and the second vice president and CEO of Inalsa, Mario Pérez, will join the event.

Blackout

In addition to this commitment, the meeting held yesterday served to analyze, on the one hand, the report that the Minister of Industry, Commerce and New Technologies of the Government of the Canary Islands, Marisa Tejedor, had requested about the problem facing Inalsa with the company Unelco-Endesa, and on the other hand, the energy blackout suffered in Lanzarote on October 30, due to the disconnection of one of the Punta Grande groups and problems with the submarine cable that connects the Island with Fuerteventura.
