Shortly after 1:00 p.m. this Wednesday, Alejandro Fernández Torres and Francisco José Fernández Torres were arrested by the National Police Information Brigade, within the framework of Operation Faycán, both charged with money laundering, as confirmed by the Superior Court of Justice of the Canary Islands.
The detainees are the sons of María Antonia Torres, also accused, former councilor of Roads and Works of the Telde City Council, the person considered the center of the corruption plot in the Telde City Council.
The detainees are in the Superior Police Headquarters of Las Palmas where the relevant procedures are being carried out. This Thursday, starting at nine o'clock, they will be brought before the investigating judge, Javier García García-Sotoca, in the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Telde. The summary secrecy of the Faycán case remains decreed.
