The acting president of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres (PSOE), has once again asked this Thursday the future president of the autonomous community, Fernando Clavijo, to deny that his party, CC, signed a pact with Vox and the PP before the constitution of the new City Council of Teguise, in Lanzarote.

The also general secretary of the PSOE in the Canary Islands made these statements to journalists on the occasion of a visit as acting president of the autonomous community to the Arehucas Rum Distillery, in Arucas (Gran Canaria), since Clavijo during the past election campaign said that he would not make a pact with Vox.

Torres has also criticized as "incoherent" the position of the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, for not respecting his proposal that the most voted list should govern after the past local and regional elections of May 28.

In the Canary Islands, the PSOE should govern, which was the most voted list in the elections, Torres defended, who, before the formation of the different governments in the autonomous communities, has valued that the acting president of the Junta de Extremadura, the socialist Guillermo Fernández Vara, attends the inauguration session of the president, since his list was the one that obtained the most votes as well.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo is the one who remains in an incoherent position, Torres remarked.

Regarding the four parliamentarians that Vox has achieved in the Canarian Parliament, he said that given the "anti-system" policy that this party defends, it is "especially serious" for the islands.
