Vox has publicly shown its support for a coalition government between Coalición Canaria and the Partido Popular in Teguise. This was announced by the formation through a press release issued this Tuesday.
The elected councilor of the far-right party Ginés González has announced that he will guarantee governance in Teguise, "without the need to seek support in exchange for giving in to exorbitant demands or that we consider do not conform to the reality of the situation."
For the moment, it has not clarified what will be the requirement imposed by the formation led by Santiago Abascal to support the candidacy of Olivia Duque in coalition with the populars of Rita Hernández.
The secretary of Coalición Canaria, Fernando Clavijo, stated in the pre-election campaign that his party would not agree or govern with Vox. However, if this pact occurs, it would be the first time that Vox would enter the institutions of Lanzarote as part of the government.
For the moment, this manifestation will mean that the most voted list will not govern and the socialist Marcos Bergaz cannot be mayor of Teguise despite having won the elections.
