The municipality of Tinajo "has experienced a notable improvement in its road network during the current legislature", thanks to "the execution of various resurfacing projects that have involved an investment of approximately 1.5 million euros", they clarify from the City Council.
These actions, "have allowed the renovation of the pavement of more than fifty streets and roads in the municipality", as well as "the esplanade of the Church of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores, the Tinguatón road and the widening of Peña de San Roque street", they include.

"We have fulfilled our commitment to provide the municipality with road infrastructures in accordance with the current and future needs of our residents, as well as the visitors who come to our municipality to enjoy its natural and cultural attractions," he stated.
Machín explained that "the paving works have been carried out in several phases and have covered both the urban center and the rural areas of the municipality." "We have prioritized the actions based on the state of deterioration of the roads and the degree of citizen demand, trying to reach the largest possible number of streets and roads," he indicated.
In addition, the first part of the resurfacing plan has focused on the coastal town of La Santa, where "the pavement of Barlovento Brisote streets has been renovated; Faustino Pio; Rosa de Los Vientos; Deriva; Sotavento and a small section of Avenida El Marinero", the City Council reports. "This action has involved an investment of 73,000 euros and has benefited about a thousand inhabitants", they clarify.

Another of the relevant works has been "the rehabilitation project and new pavement of various streets in the municipality and other population centers", they announce. This work, in its first phase, "has had a budget of 475,000 euros and has affected the following streets: El Rofero, the transversal to Avenida de Los Volcanes, the transversal to Calle El Calvario; El Barranco alley; El Charco street; Morro; La Molina; Cortijo; Miguel Lantigua; solar Avenida de Los Volcanes; Arrorró street; Malagueña; Retama; Hierba Luisa; Morro del Viento; Tórtola; Guirre and Guanil, they enumerate.
These streets "were in a deficient state due to the passage of time and road traffic", they recognize. "Some of them had cracks, potholes and patches that made circulation difficult and endangered the safety of drivers and pedestrians", he confesses. In addition, "others lacked adequate horizontal or vertical signage or had drainage problems".
To solve these deficiencies, they "have proceeded to mill the existing pavement and extend a new layer of asphalt". Complementary works such as cleaning and repairing ditches and sewers have also been carried out; the placement or renovation of curbs, sidewalks and islets; the installation or improvement of signage; or the painting of pedestrian crossings and road markings", they say.

With this work, it has been possible to "significantly improve the condition and functionality of these streets, facilitating transit and increasing road safety", they affirm. On the other hand, the second phase includes the resurfacing of Señor Pablo streets; Charco Prieto; Las Peñas; Camino Las Peladas; Pico Partido; El Tablero; Santa Catalina, transversal to Calle El Peñón, transversal to Calle Capellanía; Guigua; Tagoror; La Orilla; Peña de San Roque; Fondeo and Calma Chicha. This action has had "an investment of 360,000 euros and has contributed to the territorial structuring of the municipality", they announce.
In addition to the different phases of the resurfacing plan, the city council has carried out other complementary works such as: "the paving of the esplanade of the Church of Nuestra Señora de Los Dolores, which involved an investment of 100,000 euros and allowed the recovery of an emblematic space for the municipality"; the improvement of the pavement of the Tinguatón road, which had a cost of 300,000 euros", they emphasize.
"The next phase of the resurfacing project is scheduled to be executed soon", they explain. This time, "a total of nineteen streets in the municipality will be paved for an amount of 500,000 euros." In addition, "the resurfacing works of Calle Timón and Calle La Palma are about to begin", they affirm.
