The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, signed this Thursday the collaboration agreement with the Volunteer Firefighters Association of Tías, Boluntis, which aims to provide Firefighters and Civil Protection services, through which the Tías City Council undertakes to grant them a subsidy of 27,000 euros.
For its part, Boluntis will be responsible for providing the aforementioned services throughout the municipality and providing itself with the necessary personnel, whether volunteer or contracted, to carry out the activities of the service. It will also carry out the necessary training actions for its personnel.
Also, this Thursday the presentation of the new Boluntis unit took place, a Basic Life Support ambulance, Mercedes Sprinter brand, acquired for a cost of 15,000 euros.
With this unit, the association's material at the service of Tías is increased and it is also put as a complement to the rest of the emergency services existing on the island. Currently, Boluntis carries out preventive services requested by sports entities.
