The Tías City Council will conclude this week a new edition of the Maramar Tías 2025 Summer Camp, which is held from June 25 to September 5 with a wide children participation and a varied program of activities.

In total, about 346 children have enjoyed the camp throughout the two months, as some of them participated in both shifts. During the month of July, 266 minors enrolled, while in August 254 did so, turning the program into one of the main references for family and work conciliation in the municipality.

The mayor of Tías and the councilors of Social Welfare and Children's Parks, José Juan Cruz, Nicolás Saavedra and Christopher Notario, visited one of the locations of the camp, where they could see the different dynamics that are developed to promote learning, coexistence and play.

José Juan Cruz Saavedra, stated that "from the City Council we continue to bet on initiatives that favor family conciliation and offer the children of the municipality a summer full of educational, inclusive and fun experiences."

For his part, the councilor of Social Welfare and Family, Nicolás Saavedra, explained that the package of children's activities, which are being carried out in the Alcalde Rafael Cedrés and Concepción Rodríguez Artiles schools, "has been consolidated as a safe and quality alternative for families, with activities that promote diversity, coexistence and education in values."

This initiative has a team of 13 monitors, in addition to two exclusive monitors for the care of children with special educational needs, reinforcing the municipal commitment to inclusion and diversity. This effort was also joined by the collaboration of volunteers.

The usual schedule of the camp was extended from 08.30 to 13.30 hours, with early pick-up service from 08.00 hours and late pick-up until 14.00 hours, thus adapting to the needs of the families of the municipality. The participating children have been able to enjoy external outings, days on the beach and collaboration with different local entities.

Among the main objectives of this project are the conciliation of work and family life, awareness and education in values of diversity, as well as the organization of recreational and educational activities adapted to each age group.
