The Teguise City Council has launched a new update to its Transparency Portal, a revamped tool that significantly improves accessibility, operability, and the user experience for citizens. The new portal went live this week following coordinated work between the New Technologies Department, the municipal Secretariat, and the Transparency area.
The mayor of Teguise, Olivia Duque, has stated that this update "reinforces the City Council's commitment to transparency and access to public information," emphasizing that "it is a fundamental tool for ensuring clear, open, and citizen-focused management."For his part, the councilor for New Technologies, Javier Díaz, explained that the new Transparency Portal responds to the need to **adapt municipal tools to the current reality**. "We have worked to have a more modern and operational portal, which facilitates both the publication of information by the City Council and its consultation by citizens," he stated.
Among the main improvements incorporated, the optimization of the information loading system stands out, which now allows for bulk publications in less time, streamlining internal processes and improving service efficiency. Likewise, a complete redesign of the website has been carried out, with a reorganization of content that facilitates navigation and the location of available information.
The new portal presents economic indicators more clearly and in an organized manner, promoting a better understanding of municipal financial data. It also incorporates new functionalities aimed at citizen participation, such as the possibility of developing participatory processes and surveys, reinforcing the involvement of residents in the public life of the municipality.
The City Council reports that all information from the previous portal has been transferred to the new system, ensuring continuity and access to previously published data
