The PSOE denounces that the budgets approved by the Cabildo certify the "obsession with lies and the occurrence of Oswaldo Betancort." The spokesperson for the Socialist Group in the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Ariagona González, lamented the "commitment of the Government Group to continue with the process of some imprudent, continuist budgets that do not respond to the real needs of Lanzarote."

During the debate on the amendment to the entirety of the budget project presented by the Socialist Group, the councilor made a "broad tour of the deficiencies and omissions reflected in the document", recalling that "the economic allocation of the Congress Palace has disappeared and that there is no item for burying the electrical wiring of Los Ajaches or for recovering the Albergue de la Santa, since there is no item for the purchase, rental or construction of the new facilities essential to care for the children in care."

Likewise, González considered completely "insufficient the provisions to assist families in situations of vulnerability due to evictions and subsidies for the rehabilitation and maintenance of properties with heritage values."

Regarding the forecasts in social rights, the councilor regretted that the Government Group "continues to be committed to an outdated vision, renouncing the implementation of an innovative project in the assistance to dependent people, whose financing was already committed to the Government of the Canary Islands."

González was especially "forceful in her reproach for the lack of provisions regarding the Integral Water Cycle", accusing Oswaldo Betancort of an "absolute lack of a project for water: the only one who has a plan for water is Canal Gestión and its plan is to get the administration to pay for the repairs that correspond to it, with the approval of Oswaldo Betancort."

"What starts badly ends badly and this first budget of the new government group makes us fear that we are facing a mandate of procedure and routine", said the socialist spokesperson who concluded by saying: "The previous government was severely limited by external circumstances that were not under our control. You are limited by your inability and your lack of project."
