"The budget of the Tías City Council for the newly started 2020 and created by the PSOE-LAVA-Podemos tripartite is an ode to cronyism and poorly understood politics ad nauseam." That is what the Popular Party group in the municipality has denounced, which states that it attended the last Plenary "astonished", when the budgets for this year were approved, with a salary increase for the government group chaired by José Juan Cruz Saavedra and an increase in the number of advisors.

"What the socialist mayor and his table companion, Mame Fernández, have falsely denounced in recent years about the PP's lack of ethics, has become their reason for being as leaders of Tías, raising their salaries at the first opportunity and increasing the number of advisors, whether because they can't do more, or because someone else has to be placed to calm the waters of three parties like the Marx brothers' overflowing cabin," the PP criticizes.

For the councilor of the Popular Party of Tías, Ramón Melián, "it is confirmed that José Juan Cruz and his satellites, Mame Fernández and Nicolás Saavedra, who spoke so much about the lack of ethics of the populars, in their first budgets raise their salary by three percent, while that of the staff will increase by two percent, an additional one percent, as long as the GDP of 2.5 percent is met."

"Such cynicism is inconceivable"

Melián considers "such cynicism and so much gratuitous verbosity inconceivable to later increase from four advisors to seven (four for LAVA, one for Podemos and two for the PSOE), which means an additional cost for the citizens of Tías of 90,000 euros per year in new advisors." To this they also add "the mystery that surrounds the figure of the seventh advisor, whose salary (38,594.35 euros plus 12,639.65 euros for Social Security) is contemplated in the budgets of the PSOE-LAVA-Podemos trio, but whose name does not yet appear in black and white."

The popular mayor insists that "the salary increase of the mayor and the councilors of the government group and the new advisors will cost Tías 825,000 euros per year." "With the PP and CC we had eight released councilors with a total cost of 421,581.39 euros. A few months later, the PSOE-LAVA-Podemos trio has increased to ten councilors with a total cost of 573,901.19 euros. The government group of Tías does not equate to better management but, lamentably and simply to more councilors, more advisors, more spending, more manipulation and, of course, if we take into account the parameters of Mame Fernández, much less ethics," concludes the popular councilor in Tías.
