The Popular Party in the Arrecife City Council has asked the government group to speed up the painting and placement of new signage on the streets of the city that have the greatest deterioration and, above all, on those roads that are in areas near schools. The PP has stated that the pedestrian crossings near schools "have not yet been painted, despite the commitment made by the government group" in response to a motion presented by the popular party in August.

The councilors of the Popular Party believe that the City Council should make "a greater effort" in everything that has to do with road safety and the minimization of risk for pedestrians. For this, according to this formation, it must establish "as a priority" the areas in which there is a greater influx of traffic and in which a very high volume of pedestrians also converge.

The PP understands that this matter requires "not only specific actions but also constant maintenance", so it has urged the government group "to speed up the horizontal and vertical signaling works throughout the municipality, starting and placing special emphasis on the roads surrounding the educational centers of Arrecife".
