The PP accuses the Tías City Council of committing a possible fraud by maintaining parking meters despite the fact that there are no longer any guards.

The Popular Party has denounced what it considers may derive "in a fraudulent activity by the Tías City Council", by keeping the parking meter service running in the town of Puerto del Carmen almost a week after the workers of the public company that managed it, El Poril, were dismissed.

Although the guards have left their jobs since last Friday, until now the parking meters continue to function normally. "They have not been taken out of service, nor is there any communication to users about their suspension", says José Francisco Hernández, spokesman for the Popular Party in the Consistory.

"The circumstance is that citizens who are aware that there are no longer guards do not buy tickets, while many other drivers, unaware of this reality, continue to pay the fees set to park in the blue zone", point out from the popular group, which denounces that in their opinion it is a clearly discriminatory act and could also constitute a fraud against users.

Therefore, and to avoid any type of anomalous situation that may occur, the councilors of the Popular Party are betting because the City Council immediately suspends the collection for this concept, disabling the vending machines and communicating this information to citizens.
