The doors of the Maneje Municipal Park are officially open since this Thursday, November 22. In total, 47,666 square meters of surface area destined for free space, located between Jarreta, Iguadén and Chupaderos streets, which all the residents of the capital can enjoy.

"I said that we were not going to promise impossible things, that we were not going to do great works," Fajardo stressed, "but that we were going to do everything in our power to finish those projects that were pending. We have done so with the Civic Center, with the Day Center for Minors and today, with the Maneje Municipal Park," said the mayor, Manuel Fajardo Feo, during the inauguration.

In his speech, the first deputy mayor, José Montelongo, recalled that thanks to the State Local Investment Fund, known as Plan E, this project, a large green area and meeting place for the residents of the Maneje, Titerroy and Argana Alta neighborhoods, was able to go ahead.

"In a city like Arrecife, which has grown in a disorderly and confusing manner, the administration is aware of the importance of offering public spaces, designed for the enjoyment of our residents. This park of Los Geranios was designed on this criterion, which we are opening today and which we hope will meet the expectations of the residents of the area," he said.

For his part, the Councilor for Parks and Gardens, Jacobo Lemes, said he was very satisfied with the work done, and thanked the work of both the previous government groups and the workers of the different areas of the City Council involved in the project.

Similarly, Lemes recalled that this space will be an important green lung not only for Maneje, but for the entire city. "This space belongs to everyone," he stressed, "and we must all take care of it."
