The San Bartolomé City Council received this Thursday the two new local police officers who will be part of the municipality's staff in an institutional act of taking office.
These will enter service once they complete the corresponding internship period at the Academy of the General Directorate of Security and Emergencies of the Government of the Canary Islands.
This is the sixth agent of the staff that joined last May, when five officials assumed the position, and a second one that, after the resignation of one of them, will cover the vacant position. With these incorporations, the six new positions are covered.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has welcomed the new officials and congratulated them for their arrival to the municipal corps, wishing them that their work "maintains a firm commitment to the well-being of the neighbors of San Bartolomé, in line with the great work done by the agents who are already part of the staff".
In this sense, he pointed out that, with the 6 new incorporations, "San Bartolomé will be able to continue guaranteeing the safety of its inhabitants and continue being one of the safest municipalities on the island of Lanzarote".
