Pedro Viera, Island Director of the General State Administration in Lanzarote, together with the mayors of the municipalities of Tinajo and Haría, signed this Wednesday the collaboration agreement for the implementation of the Plan 'The Administration close to you', an initiative of the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Democratic Memory.

With the signing of this agreement, both municipalities join the effort of the Government of Spain to bring the services of the General State Administration closer to the citizens of territories with lower population density, avoiding unnecessary travel and facilitating the completion of administrative procedures directly from their place of residence.

“The objective is clear: that no one is left behind for living in a rural environment or with fewer resources. With this Plan, we facilitate access to the Administration, combat the digital divide and reinforce equal opportunities”, the Island Director highlighted during the event.

The collaboration between the Island Directorate and the City Councils will allow specialized technicians to offer advice and support to the residents of Tinajo and Haría so that they can manage their procedures more easily, without having to leave their municipality.

The Plan 'The Administration close to you' is part of the Government's strategy to strengthen social and territorial cohesion, improve digital inclusion and guarantee that all citizens, regardless of their place of residence, can fully exercise their rights before the Administration.
