The Arrecife City Council will organize the event "Arrecife Respira Navidad" next Friday, November 26, at 8:00 p.m. in the José Ramírez Cerda Park, with which the capital's consistory will officially inaugurate Christmas with the lighting of the Christmas lights.
From the Consistory they detail that music and dance "will be the protagonists of this free event", in which they will proceed to turn on "a powerful lighting network that will be made up of 800,000 LED bulbs, with 800 figures, arches, porticos and garlands."
With the lighting of the Christmas lights in the city center and in the neighborhoods of the municipality, from the City Council they assure that Arrecife will be impregnated "with a festive and welcoming atmosphere to the streets of our municipality, thus accompanying the commercial initiative that will be held that day, Black Friday."
From Arrecife they assure that those 800,000 LED bulbs that will adorn and illuminate Christmas, can be seen "adorning the streets, squares and parks of the municipality in the coming days, from El Reducto beach, Avenida Marítima, Islas Canarias park, José Ramírez Cerdá park, shopping areas, San Gabriel Castle, Puente de las Bolas to Charco de San Ginés."
Among the performances that will be part of the program of the event "Arrecife Respira Navidad" are 'Gospel Lanzarote', the Children's Choir of the CEIP Antonio Zerolo and Maresía del Benito Méndez, the Fide Parrilla Dance School, the String Quartet of the Clásica de Lanzarote Orchestra and the singer Elvia Plata. The Arrecife City Council adds that this event "will be the start of a program of events that will be held throughout the month of December in the capital of Lanzarote" on the occasion of Christmas, and among which are also "the inauguration of the nativity scene of the capital in the same José Ramírez Cerda Park and the San Silvestre Race that will take place once again on December 31."
The Mayor of the Arrecife City Council, Astrid Pérez, has highlighted that "with these events the capital's consistory of Lanzarote intends to boost the capital of Arrecife with cultural actions and, for this, we have brought forward the date of the lighting of the Christmas lights, which is so important for the commercial areas, which value it as one more dynamization action. Christmas has arrived in Arrecife and the City Council continues working to be close to SMEs and offer cultural actions to citizens."
