The Teguise Town Council will take note this Friday of the resignation of the only councilor that Izquierda Unida has in the municipality, Marcial Navarro. The councilor presented his resignation at the end of December, although it had not transpired until now, when it is going to become official by taking it to the Plenary Session.
Navarro's is the second resignation in the ranks of Izquierda Unida in Teguise in this legislature, since Francisco Ojeda had previously left the position, who was the one who headed the list in the last elections. Now, his replacement has also left the position a few months before the end of the mandate.
The next on the list, who is the one who should replace Marcial Navarro, is Jakeline Serna Henao. For her inauguration, the resignation of her colleague must first be made official in the Plenary Session this Friday and then wait for her act to arrive so that she can join the Consistory.
According to municipal sources, the until now councilor of Izquierda Unida alleged "personal reasons" when presenting his resignation in December.
