Of a total of 6,990 vacation homes available in Lanzarote during the month of March, 95.6% were booked, their average rate rose to 186 euros per night, and together they raised 24.1 million euros.

The figures seem good, but they are 3.1 million less than what they collected in March of last year when there were 7,792 vacation rentals available, which were booked at 97.2% and with an average rate of 192 euros.

The fall in March adds to the declines in the average rate in the previous five months.

In February Lanzarote's holiday homes raised 19.8 million, which represents 4.3 million euros less than during the same month of 2025, although it is true that there were about 500 fewer properties available.

The year-on-year rate fell from 203 euros in February of last year to 173 euros last February.

The first month of the year, vacation rentals brought in 19.7 million, almost five million less than the previous year, although there were 800 fewer houses available.

The average rate fell in January from 208 euros per night in January 2025 to 168 in January of this year.

The same had already happened during the months of October, November, and December of 2025 with respect to the same months of 2024.

In December the average rate for holiday rentals rose to 169 euros, which is 24 euros less than what was charged on average in the last month of 2024. Revenue also fell, which, with 500 fewer available homes, went from 26.1 million to 19.6 million euros.

During the past month of November, with 800 fewer homes than the same month of the previous year, the year-on-year rate fell from 193 euros to 163. Year-on-year revenue fell by 4.5 million to 21.2 million euros.

Finally, last October the average rate also stood at 163 euros, 21 euros less than the rate achieved in the same month of the previous year.

With about 500 fewer vacationers in October, 19.1 million entered, 4.1 million less than what was achieved in October 2004.
