The new head of the General Plan of Arrecife has already stated that the premise for working on this controversial document will be consensus with the residents, groups and other political forces, although he has not wanted to make public whether he is in favor of modifying the current PGOU, as defended by his predecessor in office and former party colleague, Antonio Hernández, or whether, on the contrary, he allies himself with the mayor's theses, which defends the revocation of the plan and the elaboration of a new one. In any case, this will be the new area with which Ubaldo Becerra will have to deal, together with the Environment.

For his part, the current Councilor for Finance, José Miguel Rodríguez, will also manage, from now on, the area of Urban Planning, including Urban Infrastructures, becoming one of the men with more weight within the Corporation. Within the group of councilors of the PIL, Antonio Machín adds to the Councilorship of Cleaning and Neighborhoods the one of Parks and Gardens, which Becerra abandons.

Amor Castañeyra also increases her responsibility and goes on to manage the area of Health, in addition to those of Commerce and Consumption. Luisa Blanco remains in charge of Personnel, Internal Regime and Infractions and Emilia Perdomo assumes the Third Deputy Mayoralty together with Social Services and Immigration, while the new councilor of this party, Eduardo Lasso, will take charge of Local Police and Security, another of the areas that was orphaned after the departure of Antonio Hernández from the City Council.

The other group in the government team, the PSOE, is not exempt from changes given that the incorporation of two new councilors has forced a restructuring of the councilorships that correspond to it by virtue of the pact signed with the PIL after the municipal elections.

Alberto Morales, who replaces the resigned Marcos Bergaz, assumes the same councilorships that he held, Public Works and Tourism, María Dolores Rodríguez leaves the area of Housing and unifies under her orders the management of Education and Culture, while Isabel Pereyra assumes in addition to Youth, the area of Citizen Participation.

For their part, Víctor Betancort and Fayna Álamo, responsible for Transport and Sports respectively, maintain their competences intact. Pending to replace the loss of Miguel Ángel Ferrer, the mayor has reserved for Víctor San Ginés, the next in the lists of the socialists, the areas of Festivities and Housing, after his incorporation to the City Council.
