The San Bartolomé City Council has commissioned a study on the state of the palm trees located on Playa Honda Avenue, following the "loss and fall of several specimens." "The intention is to treat them as soon as possible based on the results of the report," said the Councilor for the Environment, Alexis Tejera.
This study, which has been commissioned to an environmental technician "specializing in cultural work on palm trees", aims to carry out a phytosanitary survey on all specimens, to determine the possible "biotic and abiotic conditions" that have caused the loss of several specimens.

In a statement, the Consistory recalls that "in recent years there have been plagues and diseases that have affected a large number of palm trees on the island", so they have decided to take measures "in view of the concern about the damage that the palm trees" located in Playa Honda may have.
