The Cabildo takes to the Plenary Session on Saturday the approval of the addendum to the agreement of the Cave

"The citizens of Haría will have what corresponds to them," Corujo has stated, who has criticized the "perversity" of CC and the PMH after joining forces for a motion of censure: "Those who censure the PSOE are the ones who created the conflict"

The Cabildo will take to the plenary session this Saturday the addendum to the agreement of the Cueva de los Verdes, three weeks after it was approved by the Haría City Council, as confirmed by the first institution.

"We will take the agreement to the plenary session and defend the interests of the municipality, because ultimately that is what politics is for, to help and to allow the development of the towns and territories. Never to destroy, never to persecute and never to generate conflicts," said the president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, who believes that this is what CC and the Platform of Jose Torres Stinga have done by presenting a motion of censure in the northern municipality.

In this regard, it should be recalled that three days after the councilors of CC voted divided in the plenary session of the Haría City Council, allowing the addendum to the agreement of the Cave to go ahead, their party broke the pact with the PSOE. Since then, CC announced the beginning of conversations to achieve a new majority in the municipality, which materialized this Monday with the presentation of a motion of censure together with the PMH.

"Alfredo Villalba is going to be censored precisely for defending his municipality; he is going to be censored for having obtained 13 million euros, something they did not have with the previous agreement; and he is going to be censored for having worked in a spiral, with sincerity and putting the City Council at the pace of other administrations, with the extraordinary difficulties that the municipality of Haría has," said the president of the Cabildo and island secretary of the PSOE.

"Alfredo Villalba came to solve what those who censure him today generated"

And it is that, María Dolores Corujo considers that, with the issue of the Cave, "Alfredo Villalba came to solve a problem that was generated precisely by the parties that censure him today." "Those parties that censure the PSOE are the ones that created a conflict within CC, because we must not forget that Pepe Torres comes from CC, that he was national president of CC and that with the conflict between Pedro San Ginés and Pepe Torres we have the Cabildo to pay 13 million euros. An internal conflict of a political party that they transferred to the institutions," he added.

In this sense, Corujo has criticized the "perversity" of "those who created the problem" now joining together as "if nothing happens". "This is the great evil of CC, at least of those who have led CC and I am referring to the former president of the Cabildo. I have not seen anything like it in my life, how instead of building and channeling to help, all they have done is destroy and put the worst of Lanzarote as an image," he said. "And I can assure you that if this political conflict generated by the parties that today censure the mayor had to pay for this out of their own pockets, they would not have done it in their lives," he added.

The president of the Cabildo has also said that she feels "a lot of sadness" for the citizens of Haría and for seeing "how they are going to go through I don't know how many mayors in a legislature that has four years due to power struggles." "The irresponsibility, the image of politics in its pure painful state is what we have lived in recent years and, as I always say, then some of us have to solve the barbarities that others have done. But as it is my responsibility, my obligation, and I have absolutely assumed it, the citizens of Haría will have what corresponds to them," Corujo said.

Finally, Corujo has conveyed a message of "gratitude" and "pride" towards Alfredo Villalba. "The pride that it represents for the people of Haría to have a mayor who has put and defended the interests of his neighbors above any other consideration, neither partisan, nor partisan, nor of any other kind," he concluded.
