The vice president of the Cabildo, Jacobo Medina, as the island representative in Puertos Canarios, has requested the "immediate" start-up of the Playa Blanca passenger terminal. “It is unacceptable that a work that was completed in January 2023, so necessary for the passengers who frequent this port every day, is not yet fully operational,” says Medina, who attributes this "delay" to the fact that the previous rulers “were not able to start a completed work.”

In this sense, the island's vice president will raise this week, in the plenary session of Puertos Canarios, the request for the commissioning of this passenger terminal “with immediate effect”, in the session that will take place throughout Wednesday. “I firmly believe that this new Executive will be able to launch and, above all, promote this passenger terminal,” he adds.

“This is an imperative and urgent need of the citizens of the island, as well as the numerous tourists who pass through the southern port every day to connect with the neighboring island,” adds the vice president.
