The Public Works area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, directed by Vice President Jacobo Medina, has awarded the drafting of the project that will transform the Costa Teguise promenade, at the height of Los Charcos Beach at its exit towards Los Ancones.
Jacobo Medina recently visited the area together with the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Beaches and Tourism of Teguise, Rita Hernández, to see firsthand the current state of the promenade.
“This important project will revitalize an area that currently has a high level of deterioration due to the passage of years and, above all, the inclemency of the tide,” said the vice president, who maintains that the area will have the project “in the first semester of the year.”
The Deputy Mayor, Rita Hernández, said for her part that this work “was a historical claim of residents and hoteliers in the area. With this intervention we will transform a deteriorated space into a modern promenade worthy of a municipality like Teguise,” she added.
The drafting of the project for the rehabilitation of the Los Charcos beach promenade towards the exit of Los Ancones has been awarded to Tomás Francisco Fuentes Berriel, for an amount exceeding 10,000 euros.
This intervention is financed within the framework of Recovery, Transformation and Resilience (PRTR), financed by the European Union Next Generation EU.
“In this way, we continue to welcome national and European funds that allow us to continue with the plan to recover the island's economy through public works,” concluded Jacobo Medina.
