The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has decreed for this Monday the orange alert for high temperatures, which will be accompanied by strong haze. The island could reach 37 degrees Celsius, according to Aemet.

The alert will begin at 11:00 a.m. this Monday and will culminate at 8:00 p.m. The risk due to high temperatures is "important," as specified on the Aemet website.

In addition to the heat, Aemet has also decreed the yellow alert for the amount of suspended dust in the air. In this case, the alert has been decreed from 6:00 a.m. and will end at 12:00 p.m.

On Tuesday the heat will not leave Lanzarote either. Aemet has also extended the orange alert for high temperatures for this day. From 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the temperature is expected to reach 38 degrees.
