The Teguise City Council, through the Department of Roads and Works, continues to respond to the needs of citizens with the execution of an improvement plan in different public spaces in the municipality. With an investment of more than 50,000 euros, maintenance and repair work is being carried out on the bathrooms of all the schools in Teguise, as well as the adaptation of a space in the Nazaret teleclub, in response to an express request from the neighborhood community.
The mayoress of Teguise, Olivia Duque, emphasized the importance of this type of action for the population. "Our commitment is clear, to be close to the real needs of our neighbors, and to respond with effective solutions," she stressed. Likewise, the first mayor added that "the improvement of educational and community infrastructures is a priority for this government group."
The Councilor for Roads and Works, Eugenio Robayna, explained that "the works include the maintenance, repair and replacement of taps in the bathrooms of all the schools in the municipality, an action long demanded by the educational community." In addition, he pointed out that "these tasks are being carried out through a minor contract, with the collaboration of an external company and the support of municipal personnel, which allows us to speed up the deadlines and guarantee an effective intervention."
On the other hand, in Nazaret, the City Council is carrying out an improvement action in the teleclub, at the request of the neighborhood association, with the aim of generating a functional and adequate space for the use and enjoyment of citizens.
"We listen to our people and work with determination so that each neighborhood and each town in Teguise has decent public spaces in good condition. This investment is a sign of our willingness to govern with responsibility and closeness," concluded Olivia Duque.
The Teguise City Council assures in a press release that it "reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of citizens, maintaining a management oriented to the continuous improvement of municipal infrastructures".
