The Teguise City Council has defended itself from the criticisms of the PP of the municipality, which denounced the "abandonment" of Los Cocoteros by attacking the government group.
“Like every year, the City Council, through its municipal personnel and all the people hired thanks to the Employment Plans, makes a round of cleaning and improvements to the coastal areas, and for two months we have been working in Los Cocoteros and Las Caletas, as was done in Caleta de Famara, Caleta Caballo, and on the island of La Graciosa. And so we will continue, with special emphasis on areas of use and enjoyment of the residents, and obviously with greater influx in summer," said the Councilor for Roads and Works of Teguise, Eugenio Robayna, assuring that "for months" they have been working on the rehabilitation and improvement of public spaces in the coastal areas of the municipal district.

Robayna points out that “the maintenance and conservation work responds to the demands of the residents and not to the whims of representatives of political opposition groups, who take images that do not conform to reality, so I invite them to walk with me through the areas that public employees and the newly incorporated employees are setting up for some time so that each town shows its best image in the summer season.”
“Precisely in Los Cocoteros, the complete repair of the sports court has been carried out; the repair of the playground and La Charca, putting new gravel and improving accessibility with a staircase and railing; the improvement of green areas, with palm pruning and cleaning of gardens; painting walls and road signs, such as pedestrian crossings; and lending a hand in the facilities of the Sociocultural Center,” enumerates Robayna, once again putting himself at the service of citizens, through his mobile 689 64 75 69, and inviting everyone to make use of the App Línea Verde Teguise in the event of any incident.

“The Teguise City Council dedicates efforts to improve all the nuclei from one end to the other of the Teguise coast, which is very wide, and that is why we defend that movement is demonstrated by walking, and that this summer, as we have done every year and on several occasions during the year after collecting the suggestions of our neighbors in the meetings, we do everything possible so that the material and human resources are invested in fixing any damage and improving public facilities and outdoor spaces,” said the mayor of Teguise, Oswaldo Betancort.
