This Friday, December 12, the Internal Medicine department and numerous colleagues from the Doctor José Molina Orosa University Hospital bid an emotional farewell to Dr. José Lluch Perales, on the occasion of his retirement, after more than three decades of professional practice at Lanzarote's leading hospital.

Dr. Lluch arrived at the hospital in 1995 and, as his colleagues recall, he already made his intention to stay clear at the time, telling the medical director of the era: "I'm not here for six months, I'm here to stay forever." And so it has been. For 31 years, he has worked as a specialist in Internal Medicine, earning the respect and affection of both his colleagues and his patients.

Since the nineties, José Lluch has been the person in charge of the HIV clinic, becoming an island benchmark in the management and follow-up of this pathology, always with close, rigorous, and committed care.

Colleagues and patients agree in highlighting his affable, serene, discreet, and profoundly human character, qualities that have marked his professional career and that today are the protagonists of the numerous messages of gratitude received at his farewell
