The San Bartolomé City Council approved this Wednesday, February 19, in an extraordinary plenary session, to initiate the file to expropriate different plots of land of the Transversal Calderetas street (Sociedad el Porvenir) and allocate them for road use.

This section, currently unpaved, is located in urban land consolidated by the urbanization with the qualification of public road equipment, reaching an area of 978.96 square meters.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, explains that this is a procedure of public interest for the entire municipality that has taken a long time of neighborhood conversations to explain the importance and necessity of this procedure

In this sense, as the different portions of land affected were not subject to the legal duty of mandatory and free transfer to this city council by the owners, it has been necessary to resort to the formula of compulsory expropriation

“The objective is to be able to develop the urban planning of San Bartolomé in accordance with current regulations, to grow sustainably in the space and areas of the municipality, according to the needs of the population and in order to improve the quality of life of neighbors”, recalls the Councilor for Urban Planning, Marlene Romero.

In this way, with the start of this file, this section located in the historical center of San Bartolomé can be ordered, granting greater accessibility, mobility and security in an area with a lot of pedestrian and vehicle traffic
