A total of 23 unemployed people will leave unemployment and carry out five projects in the municipality of San Bartolomé with an average duration of six months, thanks to the agreement between the City Council and the Canarian Employment Service, called "San Bartolomé: dynamic and conciliatory".

This program will employ these people who, until now, were without work. The total amount of this service amounts to more than 150,000 euros, of which almost 130,000 euros are subsidized by the Canarian Employment Service.

The workers will carry out their tasks within five areas. Thus, they will carry out projects for the department of Education and Culture, which will be based on the care of children and young people in the municipality. In addition, they will carry out jobs in Social Services, which includes education from the street with minors and the analysis of the social reality of the municipality.

Another department in which they will work will be in new technologies, which includes projects to promote computer and Internet knowledge among the population. Likewise, part of these 23 new workers will do public services in San Bartolomé, such as gardening and conservation of spaces in the municipality.

The mayor, Marcial Martín, received the 23 workers this Monday in the Plenary Hall, where he welcomed them and encouraged them to "commit to work, the Institution and the town, through the work they will carry out during these months in the municipality".
