The San Bartolomé City Council has agreed to adhere to the Collaboration Agreement with the Canary Police, in the field of public safety. This agreement aims to improve coordination and resources for the provision of Local Police services, ensuring greater effectiveness in citizen security. The agreement develops coordinated action between the General Corps of the Canary Police and the local police of the City Council.

In this sense, the mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez Martín, has highlighted the importance of this adhesion, emphasizing that “the safety of our neighbors is one of our highest priorities. Through this agreement, we seek to optimize available resources and improve coordination between the different administrations, which translates into an improvement in the attention and protection of citizens.”

The agreement establishes a series of commitments for mutual support between the General Corps of the Canary Police and the Local Police, such as the joint planning of actions, support in specific services, and the implementation of shared police information systems, among others. In addition, the autonomous administration undertakes to offer continuous training to local agents, as well as to collaborate in the improvement of infrastructure and provision of technical means.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, also indicates that “we are committed to doing everything necessary to guarantee the safety of our municipality. This collaboration with the Government of the Canary Islands and the FECAM is an important step to continue advancing in the improvement of public safety services.”

In addition to the improvement in the provision of police services, the agreement will allow San Bartolomé to access subsidies and additional resources, which will facilitate the implementation of projects such as the installation of video surveillance systems and the acquisition of police management software in the “cloud” modality.

"These initiatives will contribute to making San Bartolomé a safer and more prepared municipality in the face of any challenge. With this adhesion, the San Bartolomé City Council reinforces its commitment to the safety and well-being of its citizens, continuing with its work of modernization and optimization of public services", they conclude from the Consistory.
