The San Bartolomé City Council has been selected to present its Green Line project at the 1st Innovamos Lab Canarias 2023 Forum. The Assembly Hall of the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands hosted this event organized by the General Directorate of Modernization and Quality of Services, which was created with the aim of offering a favorable environment for the promotion, collaboration and participation of innovation in the Public Administration.
From the Department of Public Services and Environment of the City Council of San Bartolomé, the Green Line project was presented, which aims to publicize "what are the real needs of the municipality and, consequently, to be able to carry out an effective allocation of resources and reduce the time to resolve incidents, involving citizens".
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, explains that "for the Corporation, transparency and bringing the residents closer to the municipal public administration has been a bulwark during these years".
"The municipality's Green Line promotes direct communication between citizens and the City Council, which allows us to know in real time the details related to the municipality, thus offering solutions to the population", Pérez emphasizes.
The Green Line project is a free downloadable APP that "promotes communication between Administration and citizens". The assigned municipal manager receives notification of the incident reported through an internal management intranet, which processes these incidents in an agile and simple way.
"This allows involving residents in the active management of the town, providing transparency in municipal management and facilitating control and communication with external service agents".
