The Department of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands, led by Poli Suárez, has completed the refurbishment and comprehensive renovation works of the Zonzamas Integrated Vocational Training Center (CIFP), in Arrecife, Lanzarote, after a total investment of 675,554.38 euros.

The project, managed through the General Directorate of Infrastructure and Equipment, coordinated by Iván G. Carro, has allowed for the renovation of both the exterior and interior of the main building and its surroundings, updating facilities that dated back to the old IES and adapting them to the demands of a modern, accessible, and functional vocational training center.

The project included the renovation of perimeter walls, general painting of the building, elimination of architectural barriers, reconditioning of bathrooms, improvement of ventilation and solar control, renovation of accesses and landscaping, and comprehensive interior painting of the main building. This results not only in a safer and more comfortable space, but also in a renewed image in line with the role of formative benchmark that the center plays on the island.

The general director highlighted that "the intervention in the CIFP Zonzamas allows us to offer modern, sustainable, and accessible facilities, which dignify the educational environment and reinforce professional training in Lanzarote." He added that "this type of action reflects the Ministry's commitment to addressing the real needs of the centers and guaranteeing infrastructures that meet current standards of educational quality."

The works represent a further step in the modernization of vocational training centers in the Archipelago, making it easier for students and teachers to carry out their activities in better equipped spaces adapted to the demands of the labor market.

This initiative consolidates the work of the Department of Education, Vocational Training, Physical Activity and Sports, led by Poli Suárez, aimed at continuously improving educational infrastructure to ensure the well-being of the school community, promote the quality of training spaces, and foster a modern, accessible, and benchmark public education system across all the islands.
