Alejandro Ramírez, councilor of the Popular Party in the Teguise City Council, was this Friday on the program Buenos días, Lanzarote of Radio Lanzarote - Onda Cero to explain the return to his responsibilities after announcing his resignation last Monday as councilor. As you will recall, in this resignation he accused his Government colleagues of putting "stumbling blocks" in his way and putting their "ego" first
Regarding the decision to resign, Alejandro Ramírez explained that he did so because "it was affecting me in grassroots sports, as it is an area that concerns me because I grew up in this municipality as an athlete, where many of these workers saw me grow up and where I saw them with the noose around their necks, and it overwhelmed me".
This past Wednesday, and as published by La Voz, Ramírez decided to continue at the head of the council because the processing of his resignation had not been resolved and the councilor withdrew his resignation letter. The councilor criticized the lack of staff within the area: "If they don't let me work, I'll go back home and I'm not going to leave through the back door".
Ramírez has thanked Poli Suárez at the microphones for his support, secretary general of the PP of Canarias. "He called me and I want to thank him for his support in a complex moment because above all we are people," he said. Furthermore, when asked if he should have spoken to his colleague Rita Hernández (PP) before making his resignation public, the councilor thanked the members of the insular committee and the mayor of Arrecife Yonathan de León. "He is a person I listen to and who gives me stability, and he has also been involved in dealing with the regional Popular Party... I think my answer is already known to him," he pointed outThe councilman has avoided responding about the relationship with his colleague Rita Hernández and only confined himself to saying that "the atmosphere of the People's Party is to do management, it is to get the work done, it is to show up, it is to take actions that will be liked more or liked less, but I consider that we are a party with liberal ideas".
Regarding the state of the current situation of the local Government, Ramírez has assured that "the Government team has made decisions, such as leaving the organizational chart on the table, which was also a point that affected me because it is the future of the employees in the area".
